RtO Project Advances Cognitive Training with Intensive Week in Athens

Athens, 8 May 2025

The RtO project took another important step forward with a training week held from 5 to 8 May 2025 at the Peace & Friendship Stadium in Athens, hosted by Olympiacos in collaboration with IC Sports Mental Coaching, EPSI, TUS, the Ukrainian National Olympic Committee, and Kinetic Analysis. The sessions aimed to deepen athletes’ and coaches’ understanding of cognitive and psychological performance training.

Participants took part in assessments using the International Trauma Questionnaire and the Subjective Sport Performance Satisfaction tool, helping to evaluate psychological well-being and self-perceived performance. Practical sessions followed, featuring the NeuroTracker methodology — a cognitive training system combining physical and mental tasks to improve focus, awareness, and decision-making.

Throughout the week, partners conducted data analysis, focus group discussions, and planning sessions to refine the training methodology and address technical issues. The event concluded with demonstrations of the SportsLapp and IDRO systems by Kinetic Analysis, reinforcing the project’s commitment to integrating science and technology to enhance athletes’ mental resilience and performance.
